WHERE " I AM " THERE IS FAVOR!

“In the light of the king’s face is life,
      And his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.”
 Proverbs 16:15
 
 
Several months ago the Lord woke me up and spoke, “Where I AM there is favor.” WOW. Simple yet complex. GOD HIMSELF IS FAVOR! We all know that He is with us and will never leave us. However I wonder how many of us have  invited Him to invade our day with His Presence.  Oh how it pleases the Father to open up the floodgates of His favor and  envelop us with all that He is.  He loves to be invited.
 
 
THE FATHER’S FAVOR
 
Reminds me of my earthly father. When I was little, I would look up at my daddy’s jet~black hair, beautiful smile, blue eyes peering through black framed glasses, reach up and take his hand in mine. When my hand was in his, I knew everything was okay. The world could have been crashing down all around, but in his presence, I knew I was safe. All of my needs would be met and all cares vanish away because in my dad, I found safety. Many times throughout my life, dad would call me from across the room. I can hear him now, “Sissy, come over here and sit in my lap.” I would crawl up into his lap, without even words and know. I knew he loved me and he loved knowing that I loved him back. 

Those were the days where men carried cash in their big wallets tucked away in their back pocket. When they slipped their hand into their front pocket there was usually a sound of the jungle of change. I always anticipated that jingle of change and the sound of dad’s pocket~knife when looking for a penny to buy me some gum from the bubble gum machine. From little things and big things flow a river of precious, dear memories. Even now, when I visit my parents Dad will say, “Sissy sit with me awhile.” And now as a parent myself, I understand the joy he feels toward me and his anticipation to be included in my life.   Oh the  sacrifices he made so that I could sit there safe in his arms and in his favor. Even yesterday after sharing a wonderful time at Grandparent’s day with Hannah at her Elementary School we went out together for a bite at Arby’s. Before we arrived at the counter my eighty year~old dad who had put his arm around me as we ran in from the rain, safely tucked under his unbrella, was already reaching in his back pocket as he had done thousands of times before seekig to honor us with his favor and blessing.

Our Abba Father is even more precious and dear than any earthly Father could possibly be because He IS the GREAT I AM. He loves for us to take His hand and enjoy His favor. Sit with Him awhile, love on Him awhile in reciprocation for His great and enduring love for us. It is His great pleasure to know that when we place our hand in His, we feel His peace, joy, love, safety and favor. We are covered with all of Him because where He is, there is Favor.He enjoys that honor.

Open your heart to receive His Favor and Blessings and watch His favor pour out upon you like a cloud of the latter rain. Watch in expectancy as you walk through the day knowing that you are the DAUGHTER OF THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS WHO IS FULL OF LOVE AND GRACE. Reach out and take His Hand. Take time everyday to Praise, honor and adore Him in the big things and in the small.  And know dear friend that He inhabits your Praise:):) It will "tickle Him pink."
 
 
BE A LEGACY OF FAVOR
 
My dad taught me to be generous, love much and favor others over my own ambitions and desires. Because of his legacy I am able to pass that same generosity, love, and favor to others. As I take my son’s or daughter’s hand in mine I know what they are feeling, and I now know too what daddy felt…and I want to pass it on. Could it be that the favor I have known could be my legacy too? I know it can. And it can be for you too whether your earthly father showed you this same favor or not, Your Heavenly Father has… His favor is ready to be passed from one generation to another. It is time for us to pass His love and favor from one generation to another, from the Fathers and Mothers to the sons and to the daughters.

As a Daughter of the King reflect the brilliance of His Glory and favor upon your life to others. Be kind and gentle.“And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 Show those around you favor even when favor is not due simply because you are a reflection of the Father. Show His love and favor to others because of what you have seen the Father do and because you truly want to be a sweet~smelling aroma for the King and in His honor. That you will reflect what you have seen in the Father. “Therefore be imitators of God as dear Children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, and offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet~smelling aroma.”  Ephesians 5:1,2 It is an awesome thought that the love I share with others is a sweet~smelling aroma to the King, my Bridegroom.
 
Bless everyone you can. Expand your territory with the love and favor God has shown you. Love those in your sphere of influence just like the Father has loved you. “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in my love.” John 15:9 Abide in God, abide in His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self~control. Sow seeds of favor and kindness with pure unadulterated obedience as the Daughter of the King and watch what the Lord will do in your life. Your favor with God and man will grow and reap a harvest many times over what you have sown just like it did in the life of Jesus. “Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” Luke 2:51~52 Walk in the Favor of the King today. He loves you with an everlasting love. Walk under the shadow of the Almighty God and enjoy His Favor.
 
 
 
OUR PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY:
 
 
“The Lord Bless You and keep you;
 The Lord make His Face shine upon you,
 
 And be gracious to you;
 
The Lord Lift up His countenance upon you
 
And give you Peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
 
 
ACTIVATION
 
As a prophetic act, why not go out of your way and pour favor on someone today. Whether it is a stranger in line behind you, and you offer to pay for their meal, or perhaps a waitress that has tended your table, or perhaps a teacher, or maybe even opening the door for someone who is behind you. What about a phone call to someone who may be lonely or afraid. Perhaps you could even offer one of the greatest gifts, time, praying for someone that you meet today or someone you know.  Jesus said that whatever we do to the least of these, we do unto Him.  God’s favor is all over you…go ahead...your spring is ready to burst forth...!
