Divine Order Of The Holy Spirit

This past summer I read Chuck Pierce’s profound book, Re-ordering Your Day. Since that time I have been practicing and more keenly aware of the nudges and leading of the Holy Spirit. He orders and then re-orders our days as we submit them one day at a time to Him. Throughout this journey I have continued to prayerfully make plans, and yet keep my hands and heart open to change; the divine order of the Holy Spirit.

In order to allow Jesus to order and re-order our days we must be flexible to flow with the leading of the Holy Spirit. Each of us learn this in many different layers as we mature in our walk with the Lord. We each desire to go from glory to glory and to accomplish this we must be flexible, obedient and open to change.

While attending The Abiding Glory Conference in November of this past year Holy Spirit spoke to me through the testimony of Heidi Baker. She spoke the word, "RUN, REST and RELEASE". As I pressed into this, the Holy Spirit continued to speak in deeper ways revealing more after the Conference. This was a profound and timely word and I believe it is also a timely word for you. Then in December God called me to a time of resting in Him, focusing on Him and drawing nearer to Him, totally surrendering to the word of the Lord, coming away with Him.

Now you know, God has a great sense of humor. He has a great plan for our lives but it may or may not look like we think that it will look. He orders our days and then sometimes re-orders them.

So here I am, set for this time of “resting” and “focusing on His Glory”. When you know Jesus intimately and He calls you away for a special time with Him there is great anticipation. The plan was all His and it was His desire that I clear everything off of my calendar for this time of “REST”. What I did not know was what He meant by "Rest" and so the wonderful journey to know what REST IS began. In sharing a personal story about this part of my journey, it is my prayer that the God of Heaven will speak to you as He orders your days. It is my hope that you will find great peace and joy knowing that He has adventures awaiting you too.

My husband and I own a Courthouse research business which God miraculously started 16 years ago. Sometime in our journey together I will share with you the marvelous and miraculous way He opened this door for our family. But for now, allow me to share with you a little background so I may continue to share with you the word He has for you today.

God set this business right in my lap. It was one of those “Suddenlies”. It was a miracle of God that we desperately needed. Holy Spirit provided the strategy, favor and ability to put His business to flight. After about 3 years, God reordered my days again and handed my husband Tim the business because He had other plans for me. God knew my heart was to minister to children and the business provided the means so that I no longer needed a paying position. The very next week, God placed me in a volunteer leadership position over one of the Children’s Ministries at church. He would provide our needs through Tim’s ministry of entrepreneur as God had gifted him in this way. God distinctly gave me a promise for Tim. He said, “Janis, I have called you to minister. Tell Tim that I will bless the business I have given you. As Tim continues to encourage you to follow Me and Minister as I lead, I will bless the work of his hands.” And dear ladies, God has been faithful and true beyond our wildest imaginations!

December 1, 2007 had come; the sabbatical Holy Spirit had called me to, and “Suddenly”! One of our employees desperately needed knee surgery and we had no one to take her place…except me. This seemed so very odd as God had clearly called me away to Himself and yet at the same time, called me to assist my husband. Instead of enjoying additional soaking time alone with Jesus, I was catapulted into the workplace. This was a place, which I had not entered for many years. God had re-ordered my days and was awaiting my reply.

“My thoughts are not your thoughts and ways are not your ways…. Sayeth the Lord.”

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11

The first day, I was very puzzled and quite upset. There was not much time but to obey Him. As a soldier in the army He had taught me to obey His command immediately without question. This truth has saved me from many dangers. After settling down and resting in Him, I said this to Jesus, “Lord, You know my heart. You have suddenly re-ordered my days. Lord, Jehovah Shammah, if you want me to go then I’m taking You to the Courthouse with me.” As Moses said, “I will not go one step without YOU.” I felt His divine peace and presence overwhelm me. He smiled and was pleased with the progress He was making within me. Holy Spirit and I went in with Power and with a heart to do the work with joy and minister along the way in the Market Place.

God knows all things, but “I” was only “ planning” on working for a week, and it grew into week three. Precious woman of God, just as it was necessary for me to surrender my plans, it was necessary to allow Him to re-order my days. God had a plan. Through out this adventure, many opportunities presented themselves to minister in the Market Place. I soon realized that He was sending me out as His Apostle to minister to specific people for this Season. WOW! Even though it changed my plans and turned my world upside down, it was God’s divine calling for me at this very time.

One morning a week or so ago, Holy Spirit woke me up at 12:30 a.m. He spoke these words from John 17:22, “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be One even as We are One.” He shared with me that throughout these past 3 years He has been pouring into me with a greater force and acceleration to bring me to where I needed to be for the season ahead. Precious woman of God, Holy Spirit wanted me to REST IN HIM. He wanted me to TRUST HIM. Through the simple act of OBEDIENCE AND MOVING WITH THE WIND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT HE THEN SHOWED ME THAT HE WAS RESTING UPON ME TO DO GREATER WORKS! He has taken me on high speed journey into His very heart; MORE OF HIM and less of me. He opened and continues to develop my gifts. He spoke that morning that it is now time to RELEASE. HE activated my spirit to pour forth His Glory onto others as I have never poured forth before. Pouring out the love of Jesus has brought great joy to me throughout my lifetime as I have walked in His Divine Design; ever learning that there is always MORE and having a great desire to SHARE WHAT HE HAS GIVEN ME. Allowing Him to re-order my days, change direction at any time has opened up windows and doors of GREATER OPPORTUNITY.

Since that time, Holy Spirit has made several changes and has reordered my life, one day at a time. He is teaching me to TRUST HIM in EVERYTHING whether I can see what He sees or not. It continues to be an exciting journey as He enlarges me to “BE ALL THAT HE CREATED ME TO BE.” Allowing Him to order my days, change direction at any time has opened up windows and doors of GREATER OPPORTUNITY to live and move and have my being IN HIM.

Dear friend, have you allowed God to order your days? He is waiting with open arms. He says this to you today, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

He is now calling millions of people like you and I to take the Glory He has set upon us and in us to release it into others. He is calling us to give away that which He has given us, with the promise that our wells will never run dry. Instead, the Rivers of Living Water will be multiplied, pressed down and shaken to overflowing, as we have never experienced before. In order to do this our eyes, ears, minds and hearts must be awakened to His leading with a tender and willing heart for change.

In a closed eyed vision I saw a picture of an underground water source that suddenly bursts forth like a geyser, exploding onto everything in its reach and watering the dry places. Carving out tributaries for it to flow across the nations!!! This is what He wants us to RELEASE. We have Run, and He’s called us to REST and WE WILL RELEASE HIM IN ALL OF HIS GLORY TO THE WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE.

HOOOOOOO! Ladies this is a challenge for you and I today! He is calling you forth to allow the Holy Spirit to order your days and then to allow Him to re-order them if necessary. This journey is an exciting one because we never know what surprises He has in store for us each day! Run, Rest and Get Ready to Release the Glory that dwells within you. It has come under pressure and is about to explode!!!! What an exciting adventure!!!

Holy Spirit, just as Mary said when the angel of the Lord came to her with the news of the birth of Jesus, “BE IT UNTO ME AS YOU SAID.” I give you freedom to use me today as never before. Open my spiritual senses deeper and wider today. Take me on the journey of a lifetime with you. I gladly give you full control of my life so that I may shine forth Your glory in everything.

I live and move and have my being in You!

Reveal Yourself to me fresh and new today
Yes, fresh and new.
Yesterday was like a vapor and is gone
Today, I wait on You for new breath that has never been breathed.

I want Your air to take up my space,
All of it precious Holy Spirit,
Fall fresh on me.

There’s a lot of life yet to live
Breath to breathe
And steps to take.
Holy Spirit may they all be Yours

In You I live and move and have my being
You are the great I Am
And my being is in You.

Thank You Holy Spirit for communing with me and I with You
You have anointed me for today
New and fresh I walk in You
Made beautiful by Your very Presence.

Take Your mighty hands today and mold me
Hurl me out into the world that I might bring light
Your light
The light of heaven that lives and moves and has it's being
In me.
